Financial Support
Thank you for your interest in financially supporting Redeemer. It is our desire that all who consider supporting our mission through contributions be made aware of our rationale toward the use of such resources. It is our desire to strike a balance between acknowledging our financial needs and goals, while at the same time remaining entirely focused on our mission to transform the world that is into the world that ought to be. As such, we do not draw attention to finances, preferring to let them remain one resource among the many which comprise Redeemer’s toolkit.
Like all churches and institutions, we have both financial needs and financial goals. Our primary financial goal is identical to our overall mission: to transform the world that is into the world that ought to be. We recognize the role finances can play in this pursuit, and we are committed to using all contributions wisely and in a manner consistent with our mission.
Specifically, we value leadership and believe the church truly benefits from pastors who are able to focus on their role of empowering us and envisioning our future as we pursue our mission. Thus, we seek to pay our pastors wages that are consistent with their vocation, training, and time commitment. Additionally, we choose to be a simple church, meaning that we offer a limited number of programs and activities. Instead, we invite those who are a part of Redeemer to engage with their communities as servants who seek to transform the world that is into the world that ought to be. Financially, this allows us to designate a minimal amount of funds toward upkeep, administration, and programming, thereby freeing us to meet needs with our financial resources in a manner consistent with our mission, both in our community and throughout the world. We view this as investing in our community and our world, as opposed to simply spending.
We value honesty and authenticity with our finances and budget, and have opted for genuine financial transparency. If you have any questions regarding our finances or budget, please contact us.
You have the option to contribute to two different funds. Our general operating fund is what we depend on for our everyday expenses, including rent, supplies for our worship gatherings, office and website expenses, and pastoral wages. Our service fund is designated specifically to meet the needs of our world. A team works in concert with our pastor to identify and contribute toward those needs as funds are available.
